Fantino added he has no regrets about how his force has handled the situation in Caledonia since he took the helm, and said complaints of "two-tier" justice for aboriginals and non-aboriginals are "absolutely phony."
What else would you call it ?? Who else would get away with this ? You can be sure , not whitey.
More than 500,000 police hours have been logged during the standoff, which has injured more than 40 officers.
A good editorial ... calling for Fantino's job ...
Mr. "Ego" and the Ontario Provincial Police should not threaten to withdraw, but they should be kicked out of Caledonia and replaced by the army.
Fantino is even more ineffective than his predecessor and has further entrenched two-tier justice.
SCARIEST OF ALL
S, D and G OPP are apologizing to a woman and her daughter after the two criticized police for inadequately responding to their desperate 911 calls.
Connie Sandilands, 86, and her daughter, Linda Mitchell, say they made three 911 phone calls Friday night as an unidentified man pounded for at least two hours at the front door of Sandilands' Lancaster home.
The next morning, they woke up to a message on their answering machine from an officer saying he had located an individual - a motorist who had run out of gas - and sent that person on his way.
